2. What we collect and why
- Account data (name, username, email, login credentials) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Content you upload (videos, transcripts, titles) — to produce your analyses and recommendations. Legal basis: contract.
- YouTube channel data (channel name, video metadata, retention and analytics figures) where you connect your channel — to ground recommendations in your real performance. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw by disconnecting the channel.
- Usage and device data (feature usage, log data, IP address, browser type) — for security, fraud prevention and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Support messages and waitlist submissions — to respond to you. Legal basis: legitimate interests / consent.
3. Who we share it with
- Service providers and subprocessors: hosting, database, AI model and analytics providers who process data on our behalf.
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Google/YouTube, where you choose to connect your channel, to retrieve your analytics.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Google/YouTube data
GrippNow's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request read-only access only, use the data solely to generate your retention insights, and delete stored tokens and channel data when you disconnect your channel or close your account.
5. Retention
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active, and for up to 12 months after closure to handle disputes and legal obligations. After that it is deleted or anonymised. You can delete individual uploads at any time from your History.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Email info@grippnow.com and we will respond within one month.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the EEA, UK and United States. Where required, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level database security, so that you can only access your own data.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to run checkout. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though the app will not stay signed in without the essential ones.
